Crossroads Torrington CT: Where Michelle and Mikayla Built a Community Cornerstone

Some bars serve drinks. Crossroads builds community.

I had the pleasure of meeting Michelle and Mikayla, the owners of Crossroads Sports Bar & Bites in downtown Torrington, and it took about five minutes to understand why this place has become exactly what its name suggests, a crossroads where the whole community ends up at some point.

Michelle and Mikayla are bubbly, fantastic, well versed bartenders who have built themselves into people the whole Torrington community knows and recognizes. That kind of reputation does not happen by accident. It happens because two people decided, shift after shift, to treat the bar like it belonged to everyone who walked through the door, not just the people pouring the drinks.

I got to try their food for the first time and it was an honor. You can tell when a kitchen is an afterthought to the bar program, and Crossroads is not that. The food holds its own.

A Late Night Spot Built for Connection

Crossroads has earned its reputation, especially with the late night crowd, as the place to go when you want to socialize, catch up with people, and build relationships rather than just grab a drink and leave. There is a difference between a bar people pass through and a bar people return to, and Crossroads is firmly the second kind.

That comes directly from Michelle and Mikayla. They are well recognized figures in this community, not because they market themselves that way, but because they have shown up consistently, behind the bar, taking care of people, for long enough that it became part of who they are in Torrington.

Right at the Heart of Downtown Torrington

Crossroads sits at 29 Main Street, right in the middle of downtown Torrington's restaurant corridor. It is the kind of location that puts you in front of everyone, but as we have said about other Torrington businesses, a great location only gets you the first visit. What Michelle and Mikayla have built is what brings people back.

Catch Crossroads During Torrington Restaurant Week

Crossroads is one of the participating restaurants in Torrington Restaurant Week 2026, running June 19 through June 27. If you have never been, Restaurant Week is the perfect excuse to finally walk through the door and meet Michelle and Mikayla for yourself. If you already know what Crossroads is about, you already know exactly why this is worth doing again.

Stop in. Say hello to Michelle and Mikayla. Try the food. Stay longer than you planned, late night crowd included.
