Patrón Drinks: 5 Silver Cocktails for Bars and Bartenders

Patrón drinks work best when the tequila stays clean and the build stays tight. Patrón Silver is especially useful behind the bar because it holds up in high volume, pairs well with fruit and spice, and delivers consistent results across shifts.

Here are five Patrón Silver drinks that are realistic for service. They use accessible ingredients, have clear builds, and can be executed cleanly when the bar is moving. Use them as features, specials, or training recipes for your team.

A blueberry Martini made with Parton Silver

This blue berry martini is made with blueberry puree as well as patron silver Tequila

1. Blueberry Martini

Glass: Martini or coupe Garnish: Fresh orchid or blueberries on a pick

Ingredients

  • 2½ oz Patrón Silver

  • ½ oz blue curaçao

  • 3 to 4 fresh blueberries (muddled) or ½ oz blueberry puree

  • ¼ to ½ oz fresh lime juice

  • ¼ oz agave syrup

Method Muddle the blueberries in a shaker. Add the remaining ingredients, fill with ice, and shake hard for 25 to 30 seconds. Double strain into a chilled martini glass. Garnish with an orchid or fresh blueberries.

Service notes: Fresh muddled blueberries outperform most commercial purees on flavor. The longer shake is needed to extract the fruit properly and get the drink cold enough for service up. You can price out this cocktail and others in our tools

2. Spicy Pineapple Margarita

Glass: Rocks Garnish: Lime wheel + Tajín rim

Ingredients

  • 2 oz Patrón Silver

  • ½ oz Cointreau

  • 1 oz fresh lime juice

  • ¾ oz agave syrup

  • 2 to 3 chunks fresh pineapple (or ¾ oz pineapple puree)

  • 2 to 3 slices cucumber or 2 to 3 slices jalapeño

  • Tajín (for the rim)

Method Rim a rocks glass with lime and Tajín, then fill with fresh ice. In a shaker, muddle the pineapple and cucumber (or jalapeño). Add the remaining ingredients, fill with ice, and shake hard for 12 to 15 seconds. Double strain into the prepared glass. Garnish with a lime wheel.

Service notes: For consistency across shifts, standardize whether you use fresh muddled fruit or measured puree. Control the jalapeño carefully so heat levels stay predictable.

3. Tequila Sunrise

Glass: Highball Garnish: Orange wheel + cherry + straw

Ingredients

  • 2 oz Patrón Silver

  • ½ oz Cointreau (or triple sec)

  • Fresh orange juice (to fill)

  • ¼ oz grenadine

  • Optional splash of soda water

Method Fill a highball glass with ice. Add Patrón Silver and Cointreau, then top with fresh orange juice. Add a short splash of soda if desired. Slowly pour the grenadine over the back of a bar spoon so it sinks and creates the sunrise effect. Garnish and serve with a straw.

Service notes: This is a fast, high visual impact drink. For better temperature and integration, shake the tequila, Cointreau, and orange juice first, then pour over ice and finish with the grenadine float.

4. Passion Fruit Martini (Red Wine Float)

Glass: Martini or coupe Garnish: Lime wheel

Ingredients

  • 2½ oz Patrón Silver

  • ½ oz Cointreau

  • ¼ oz fresh lime juice

  • ¼ oz agave syrup

  • ¼ to ½ oz passion fruit puree

  • ½ oz Cabernet Sauvignon (float)

Method Shake all ingredients except the wine hard with ice for 15 to 20 seconds. Double strain into a chilled martini glass. Gently pour the Cabernet over the back of a bar spoon so it floats on top. Garnish with a lime wheel.

Service notes: Keep the wine float light. Too much Cabernet throws the balance. This one photographs well and works as a higher price point feature.

5. Blue Raspberry Margarita

Glass: Rocks Garnish: Fresh raspberries + lime wheel

Ingredients

  • 2 oz Patrón Silver

  • ½ oz blue curaçao

  • ¾ to 1 oz fresh lime juice

  • ¾ to 1 oz agave syrup

  • 4 to 5 fresh raspberries (muddled) or ½ to ¾ oz raspberry puree

Method Muddle the raspberries in a shaker. Add the remaining ingredients, shake hard with ice for 12 to 15 seconds, and double strain into a rocks glass filled with fresh ice. Garnish with raspberries and a lime wheel.

Service notes: This works better as a rocks drink than an up cocktail. Taste and adjust the agave based on the sweetness of your raspberries or puree so the drink stays balanced during service.

Bar Team Tips

  • Standardize your purees and spice levels so every bartender is pouring the same drink.

  • Fresh citrus still makes a noticeable difference in high volume.

  • These builds are fast enough for service once the fruit prep is handled.

  • Patrón Silver’s clean profile makes it forgiving when fruit quality varies slightly.
