Sasso's Coal Fired Pizza: A Downtown Torrington Favorite

Even though Restaurant Week is over, there is still plenty to celebrate here in Torrington, and today that means talking about Sasso's Coal Fired Pizza. This establishment sits right in the center of downtown and absolutely dominates its footprint, with outdoor dining, a full bar, and plenty of seating inside as well. They are so busy on weekend nights that there is sometimes a wait, and it is well earned. Sasso's has graced Torrington with some of the most delicious pizza in the area, and to be honest, a very reasonably priced menu to go with it.

I decided to dine there on my birthday. We got a large pizza, wings, and clam sauce with bread for appetizers, and it was all incredible. We shared a salad and a couple of espresso martinis, and ended up with just an outstanding spread of food for the occasion. We were genuinely impressed with the pricing, and everyone left full and happy.

In a state that is saturated with pizza establishments, Sasso's separates itself as an absolutely delicious option for New Haven style thin crust pizza right here in Torrington. And if you have not tried the wings yet, they are out of this world. Coal fired and absolutely worth ordering.
