Strawberry Cocktails: 5 Recipes for Bars and Bartenders

Strawberry cocktails are some of the highest volume sellers on any bar menu. They photograph well, they appeal to a wide range of guests, and the ingredient cost is low relative to what you can charge. These five recipes are built for real bar service with clear builds that your team can execute consistently.

Use them as menu staples, seasonal features, or training recipes for your staff.

1. Strawberry Margarita

Glass: Rocks or margarita glass

Garnish: Lime wheel + strawberry on the rim

Ingredients

  • 2 oz blanco tequila (try 1800 Tequila)

  • 1 oz fresh lime juice

  • ¾ oz Cointreau (Cointreau cocktails)

  • 3 to 4 fresh strawberries (or 1 oz strawberry puree)

  • ½ oz simple syrup

  • Ice

Method Muddle strawberries in the bottom of a shaker. Add tequila, lime juice, Cointreau, and simple syrup with ice. Shake hard for 12 to 15 seconds. Double strain into a rocks glass over fresh ice or serve frozen by blending with ice. Garnish with a lime wheel and strawberry.

Service notes: Fresh muddled strawberries give you better flavor and color than premade mixes. If volume demands it, prep strawberry puree in batches before service.

Pricing this cocktail is approximately $11.50 for restaurant menus

2. Strawberry Daiquiri

Glass: Coupe or hurricane glass Garnish: Strawberry on the rim + lime wheel

Ingredients

  • 2 oz white rum (Bacardi)

  • 1 oz fresh lime juice

  • ¾ oz simple syrup

  • 3 to 4 fresh strawberries (or 1 oz strawberry puree)

  • Ice

Method Muddle strawberries in a shaker. Add rum, lime juice, and simple syrup with ice. Shake hard for 12 to 15 seconds. Double strain into a chilled coupe. For a frozen version, blend all ingredients with ice until smooth and pour into a hurricane glass.

Service notes: The frozen version moves faster in high volume settings. Batch the base mix (rum, lime, simple, puree) and blend to order for speed.

3. Miami Vice

Glass: Hurricane or tall glass

Garnish: Strawberry + pineapple wedge + umbrella (optional)

Ingredients

  • Strawberry daiquiri base: 1½ oz white rum, 2 oz strawberry puree, ½ oz lime juice, ½ oz simple syrup

  • Pina colada base: 1½ oz white rum, 2 oz pina colada mix (or 1 oz coconut cream + 1 oz pineapple juice)

  • Ice for blending

Method Blend the strawberry daiquiri base with ice until smooth. Blend the pina colada base with ice separately until smooth. Pour the pina colada into a hurricane glass first. Slowly pour the strawberry daiquiri on top so the two layers stay visible. Garnish with a strawberry and pineapple wedge.

Service notes: The visual impact of the two layers is what sells this drink. Pour the red layer slowly down the side of the glass. Batch both bases ahead of service and keep them in squeeze bottles for fast execution.

4. Strawberry Mojito

Glass: Collins or tall glass Garnish: Fresh mint sprig + strawberry

Ingredients

  • 2 oz white rum

  • 1 oz fresh lime juice

  • ¾ oz simple syrup

  • 3 to 4 fresh strawberries

  • 6 to 8 fresh mint leaves

  • Soda water

  • Ice

Method Muddle strawberries and mint leaves gently in the bottom of a shaker. Add rum, lime juice, and simple syrup with ice. Shake for 10 seconds. Strain into a Collins glass over fresh ice. Top with soda water and stir gently. Garnish with a mint sprig and a strawberry.

Service notes: Do not over muddle the mint or it turns bitter. A gentle press is all you need to release the oils.

5. Strawberry Lemon Drop Martini

Glass: Martini or coupe Garnish: Sugar rim + lemon twist + strawberry

Ingredients

  • 2 oz vodka (Tito's)

  • 1 oz fresh lemon juice

  • ¾ oz simple syrup

  • 2 to 3 fresh strawberries (or ¾ oz strawberry puree)

  • Ice

Method Rim a chilled martini glass with sugar and set aside. Muddle strawberries in a shaker. Add vodka, lemon juice, and simple syrup with ice. Shake hard for 12 to 15 seconds. Double strain into the prepared glass. Garnish with a lemon twist and strawberry.

Service notes: This sells extremely well as a dessert cocktail. Position it on the menu near the end and train your servers to suggest it when a table declines the dessert menu.

Bar Team Tips

‍ ‍

  • Batch your strawberry puree before service. Fresh puree stored cold lasts through a full shift and keeps every drink consistent.

  • Frozen cocktails move fast in warm weather. Keep your blender station clean and your bases prepped.

  • Strawberry cocktails photograph well. They drive social media content without any extra effort from your team.

  • These builds use common ingredients, so your bar likely already carries everything you need.
